Common problems and fixes

The highlight applies to the wrong rows.

The applies-to range starts at a different row than the formula assumes. Make the first row of the range and the row in the formula match.

Formatting slows the workbook down.

The rule targets entire columns. Scope it to the real data range — the Workbook Optimizer flags this too.
