Workbook Repair

Recover data from corrupt or unreadable Excel files.

When Excel refuses to open a file, this tool reads the underlying package directly, salvages every sheet it can parse and rebuilds a clean workbook. Damaged parts are reported so you know exactly what was and was not recovered.

Common problems and fixes

Only some sheets came back.

The others had damaged XML. The report names them — check whether an older copy of the file still has them intact.

The repaired file opens but formatting is gone.

The styles part was unrecoverable. Data integrity is preserved; reapply formatting or copy the values into a known-good template.
