Worksheet Splitter

Export every sheet in a workbook as its own file.

One click turns a 40-sheet workbook into 40 files. Each sheet keeps its formatting, column widths and print setup, and file names come from the sheet names so nothing needs renaming afterwards.

Common problems and fixes

An exported sheet is empty.

Its content came from formulas referencing other sheets. Enable “Convert cross-sheet formulas to values” before exporting.

File names have odd characters.

Sheet names containing / \ : * ? are sanitised. Rename the sheets, or switch the naming pattern to use an index.
